In eight days we hike five regions of Newfoundland. From an International Bird Sanctuary in the southwest corner of Newfoundland to Quirpon island in the north where you strike out along cliffs offering balcony seats to the whales and icebergs that play in the waters below. In between we explore several bays where trails lead us to abandoned communities lying in picturesque and poignant ruins and we take to the hills in Gros Morne National Park where the ambience of picnicking at the top of 2,500 foot cliffs as you spot the moose, caribou and black bear wandering below can be matched by no restaurant. The exercise you are getting during the days will make the comfort in the evenings all the sweeter. Our two Lighthouse Inns, a lodge in a tiny fishing community and the luxury of our relaxing riverside resort are all chosen for their beauty and culture.
