Take part in our Discover Kayaking lessons and let us show you how easy kayaking truly is.  Emphasis is placed on safety, paddling strokes and most importantly .... having fun.  This is the ideal introduction to this popular sport. We have put smiles on the faces of beginners from 5  to 88 years old. Discover kayaking lasts 3 hours and is available as a private or group lesson.  Instruction is by a BCU and CRCA Certified Instructor. Your lessons starts with a shallow water session and leads to a gentle guided trip on the Humber River.

A Day on the Bay

Enjoy a relaxing day paddling scenic Bottle Cove and the Bay of Islands. Paddle past cliffs, sea caves and tour a traditional Newfoundland fishing village. Your package includes all equipment, transportation and a lunch.  

This kayaking tour departs in the morning and lasts approximately 6 hours.

This kayaking adventure is similar to our A Day on The Bay tour but we leave in the afternoon and spend the evening on the water. Your package includes all equipment, transportation and dinner. Ask about a beach fire after your sunset paddle.

Departs mid-afternoon and lasts approximately 6 hours.

Paddle the Humber River  (a self-guided tour)

Take a leisurely paddle down the Humber River. 

You have several options with this adventure and prices include all equipment such as boats, paddles/oars, skirt and PFDs.

1. SHUTTLE SERVICE NOT REQUIRED    (Duration - Max. 4 hours)

You can leave from our dock and paddle up the river and then back to our dock. 

2. ONE-WAY SHUTTLE SERVICE             (Duration - 3 hours)

a) Get shuttled to an upriver drop-off point then paddle down the river to our dock (a gentle ride) 

or 

b) Leave from our dock and take a run on the rapids to a downriver pickup point. (for the more adventurous)

3. TWO-WAY SHUTTLE SERVICE             (Duration - 5 hours) 

For a longer trip, take advantage of our return shuttle service. Get dropped off upriver, spend the first part of day gliding down the Humber River, then continue on through the fast moving water and we'll pick you up downriver and transport you back to the Adventure Centre.
